Site team in Milton Keynes town go pink to raise awareness for breast cancer

DWSM - SGB-5409 - The team at Lavendon Fields in pink PPE for Wear it Pink Day

The site team at the Lavendon Fields development in Olney dressed to impress by switching out their usual hard hats and high visibility jackets for bright pink hats and vests.

Over £36 million has been raised by wear it pink supporters since it began in 2002.

The charity helps fund vital research across the UK and Ireland to help find a cure for breast cancer at all stages.

This year, campaigners hope to raise even more through businesses, schools and individuals wearing it pink.

John Dillon, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “We are very happy to be supporting wear it pink for breast cancer awareness and I think our site team have a lot of fun getting to wear pink PPE for the day.

“We’re taking part in this fantastic campaign to support those suffering with breast cancer and hopefully do our bit towards raising awareness.

“It is very important that as a five star-rated housebuilder we are getting involved and supporting charities like this. We hope that our contribution to the Breast Cancer Now can help to make the day even bigger and better than last year.

“We hope the money raised will help us get closer to beating breast cancer altogether.”
