A poster has appeared at a Milton Keynes branch of Aldi saying that 'shopping bags will be checked at the till point' following a 'recent rise in shoplifting'.
The poster was spotted at the Aldi store in Westcroft today.
It reads: "Due to a recent rise in shoplifting, please be aware that your shopping bags will be checked at the till point."
"Please do not take personal offence to this."
"Thank you for your understanding."
The poster has appeared outside the store, alongside other posters about social distancing due to the coronavirus.
