Following the tragic murder near Chaffron away in Milton Keynes on Friday last week, Thames Valley Police announced they were putting a section 60 order in place in MK until 4.06pm on Saturday 12/2.
The section 60 order has been extended since then.
Thames Valley Police explained last week that the order ‘enhances’ theirmstop & search powers, meaning officers can stop and search anyone within the shown area for weapons.
Following the launch of a murder investigation in Milton Keynes, Police formally identified the victim on Monday 14/2.
Ahmednur Nuur, aged 16, from Conniburrow, Milton Keynes, sadly died after an incident near to Milton Keynes College just after 1.30pm on Friday (11/2).
Justice Will-Mamah, aged 18, of Coniston Way, Bletchley, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
Police wrote today, when announcing the extension to the section 60 order: “You’ll see us continuing our stop searches in the area shown in the map as a new section 60 order has been authorised, enhancing our powers until 3.30pm tomorrow afternoon.
“Last night our searches meant drugs and cash made through crime were taken off our streets.”
