The second life-saving kit has been installed for Milton Keynes residents in Whitehouse.

Whitehouse Community Council has announced the instalment of the second life-saving kit in Whitehouse at The Hive. The equipment is there to make a difference in an emergency. The kit includes an Automated External Defibrillator and a Bleed Control Kit.

The kit is located at the front entrance of Whitehouse’s community centre, The Hive, and is accessible to members of the community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

To access the kit, residents must dial 999 and request an ambulance. The operator will then provide them with the access code for the cabinet, in addition to sending an emergency ambulance.

Whitehouse Community Council partnered up with Councillor Joe Hearnshaw and TS Electrical to provide the equipment to the community.

TS Electrical installed everything at their own cost, whilst Cllr Joe Hearnshaw, Labour councillor for Stony Stratford ward, funded the Bleed Control Kit.

Cllr Joe Hearnshaw told MKFM, "I am very pleased that I was able to put my ward budget towards life-saving equipment for residents of Whitehouse Park and the surrounding areas. It’s really important that there’s public access to bleed control kits and defibrillators, and I am grateful for the support from Whitehouse Community Council and TS Electrical on ensuring that this can be made possible."
