Following an in-store and online vote, Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes have chosen Milton Keynes Hospital Charity as their charity partner for 2018.
Milton Keynes Hospital Charity raises funds to make a tangible difference to patients, their families, and the staff who treat them at Milton Keynes University Hospital. This year the charity launched a £2.5million appeal for a new cancer centre.
The new cancer centre will mean that the hospital can better support each and every cancer patient. It will be a purpose-built, dedicated space offering treatment, information and support services to anyone affected by cancer, in a more spacious, comfortable and welcoming environment.
Steve Martin, Store manager at Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes said: “We’re really excited to be working with Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, supporting such a fantastic cause. Everyone at Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes is looking forward to working together for a successful partnership.”
Michaela Clark, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, added: “We’re delighted to be named the new Local Charity partner for Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes. We’d like to thank everyone who voted for us. Becoming the Local Charity partner will make a huge difference to us and our new £2.5million Cancer Centre Appeal. We are looking forward to seeing you all in store soon.”
The Sainsbury’s Local Charity scheme is now entering its tenth year, with a partnership launch weekend set to take place across Sainsbury’s stores from August 3rd-5th.
