In 1979, the National Bowl in Milton Keynes was born - and since then it has seen world-renowned artists coming to play in the heart of Milton Keynes.
Artists including David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, Linkin Park, AC/DC, Status Quo, Eminem and so many more have taken to the stage.
Recently, residents have been questioning what has been going on at the famous Bowl over the past few weeks, as large cranes and structures have been spotted in the area and we finally know why...
Ward Councillor for Loughton and Shenley, Amanda Marlow commented on one post saying she had spoken with a Licensing Officer at Milton Keynes Council and has the answer.
Currently, dummy runs are taking place with a test stage at the Bowl, for a band that will be touring later on in the year. For about six weeks, crews will be putting the stage up, running lighting and power to the stage and taking it back down again to practice for the band's real tour.
Whilst running these practices, they will be making adjustments to the staging and preparations. Cllr Amanda Marlow concluded: "Sadly there will not be any performances at The Bowl."
It is not yet known who the dummy stage runs are for.
