Today (04/12) is Small Business Saturday here in the UK and shoppers are being encouraged to visit their local high streets.
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities.
Taking place on the first Saturday in December each year, the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.
On Small Business Saturday, customers across the U.K. go out and support all types of small businesses, online, in offices and in stores.
Many small businesses may also take part in the day by hosting events and offering discounts.
Today is #SmallBizSatUK. MK is full of lots of independent businesses, some may be classed as small but they make a big impact. If you’re Christmas shopping in MK, think about shopping local.
