Police have issued an update following rumors circulating on social media of a second firearm incident in Milton Keynes.
At around 11.30pm on Wednesday, August 21, a firearm was discharged at Denmead, Two Mile Ash.
A man in his twenties sustained injuries to his leg and required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.
Following the initial report from police yesterday, there was speculation on social media that a second shooting had occurred in Denmead, Two Mile Ash.
The Detective Inspector at MK Criminal Investigation Department has confirmed that there was no second incident.
Police told MKFM, “We have had no reports of a second incident. The incident occurred on Wednesday in Denmead, Two Mile Ash, and the scene-watch was still in place yesterday, but there has not been a second incident.”
Officers are at the scene and expect to remain there for the remainder of the day.
