Max Verstappen claimed victory at the 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix, and with it a piece of history for Red Bull Racing.
The Dutch driver, who started P2 after narrowly missing out on pole position to Lewis Hamilton by 0.003 seconds in qualifying, took home his ninth victory of the season at the Hungaroring.
Not only has the victory seen Verstappen extend his lead at the top of the standings to 110 points, with teammate Sergio Perez still in second after a P3 finish in Hungary, but it has seen Red Bull enter the F1 history books.
The Milton Keynes-based constructor has claimed a 12th consecutive Grand Prix victory, dating back to the 2022 Abu Dhabi GP at the end of last season, a new record in the sport.
The previous record was held by McLaren, who claimed 11 consecutive victories during the famous 1988 season, which saw Ayrton Senna win the first his three driver championships.
This latest victory for Verstappen has seen Red Bull tie McLaren for most consecutive victories in a single season, Perez claiming two of this year's races while Verstappen has won the rest.
There are still plenty more races to come in this Formula 1 season, and even more history could be made if Verstappen continues to race as he has done all year.
