A young driver in Milton Keynes had his vehicle seized following reckless and anti-social driving during a car cruise event last weekend and is facing a fine of hundreds to retrieve.

The driver, behind the wheel of a Seat Leon, had previously been issued a ‘Section 59’ warning by Northamptonshire Police last year for similar behaviour, which is valid for 12 months.

As part of Thames Valley Police's "Operation Chromium"—an initiative aimed at tackling anti-social and dangerous driving linked to street racing and car cruises—officers attended the driver’s home to confiscate the vehicle. The driver now faces a hefty fine of several hundred pounds to recover his car, in addition to potential prosecution for his actions.

The driver was also issued a Vehicle Defect Rectification Notice (VDRS) and has been given 14 days to rectify his illegally tinted windows and number plate or face further fines.
