It has been announced that the Pineham BMX Track, opposite Willen Lake, will be closed next month so the track can be resurfaced.
The purpose-built track is home to the Milton Keynes BMX Club, which is one of the countries most established BMX clubs, having been operating since 1984.
Throughout the years, thousands of riders from ages 3 to 70+ have been using the club with it currently having over 350 members and over 120 active racers.
It also draws in members of the general public on a daily basis; families will ride to the track and often have picnics by the trackside.
And recently, BMX riders have reported seeing an increase in potholes and uneven ground at the track.
As a result, The Parks Trust, which owns the track, has said that it will be resurfaced next month.
