The Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce have been out and about in rural areas of Milton Keynes over the past few evenings.
Over the past week, Thames Valley Police's Rural Crime Taskforce have been spending time in Milton Keynes' rural areas, conducting patrols in burglary hotspots.
The Rural Crime Taskforce was set up last year, they explained: "Police recognise that many people in rural communities can often feel marginalised and vulnerable, and we have seen an increase in serious and organised crime targeting rural areas."
Police say multiple searches were conducted on the night of 23rd February in Emberton and Olney, whilst working with an ANPR unit.
One uninsured vehicle is reported to have been taken off the road and the driver was reported.
Last night (24/2), police were out and about again in what they described as "another busy night patrolling the rural areas of Milton Keynes."
They wrote last night: "Multiple stop checks of people pleased to let us check their vehicles and trailers until the last uninsured driver with cannabis!"
The vehicles were seized and the driver was reported.
