An increased police presence may have been noted in North Milton Keynes villages over the past few days as Operation DROVER targets rural crime.

Over the past three days, residents in rural villages across North Milton Keynes may have noticed an increased police presence due to Operation DROVER, a multi-agency initiative aimed at combating rural crime.

Operation DROVER specifically targets various rural offenses, leading to several positive outcomes, including arrests, vehicle seizures, and the disruption and prevention of fly-tipping. Multiple individuals were also reported for driving violations, and speed enforcement vans were deployed throughout the villages as part of the operation.

Thames Valley Police MK emphasised their commitment to addressing rural crime, saying, “Thames Valley Police are committed to tackling rural crime which can have a severe impact on rural communities and of course travelling criminals also target our towns and cities.”

The Milton Keynes North Neighbourhood Policing team expressed their gratitude to all partners involved in the operation and thanked local residents for their continued support.
