Police appeal after Milton Keynes assault

Victim told to hand over watch and phone.

Thames Valley Police’s Priority Crime Team are appealing for witnesses following a report of an attempted robbery in Broughton over the weekend.

The report says it happened in the early hours (12.05am) of Sunday morning, where the victim, a 29 year old male, was waiting for a taxi on Bodmin Place, Broughton.

The victim was approached by three youths who were shouting at him, chased him and then proceeded to throw stones and assault him. One of the youths had a glass bottle which he threatened to hit the victim with.

The youths demanded money from the victim and told him to hand over his phone and his watch, however they were unsuccessful. The victim received injuries to his face and jaw, including grazes and bruising.

“We believe the youths may have been involved in other criminal damage incidents during that night, and we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this, or other suspicious behaviour around this time and location,” said a police spokesperson.

“If you witnessed anything or have any information that may assist us in our investigation, please contact us on 101, referencing 43250191688.”
