Wildlife course filling up fast in city woodland.
The charity that looks after more than 6000 acres of Milton Keynes’ green space is seeking young people to join one of its explorer courses.
The Parks Trust has spaces left on its popular Youth Explorers Workshop next month. Aimed at 11-14 year-olds who have a passion for wildlife, the five-week immersive course helps them get closer to nature in Milton Keynes.
The course takes place at Howe Park Wood, one of the city’s most important and biodiverse green spaces. Explorers can expect to gain practical experience in studying and identifying wildlife as well as learning exciting and useful ‘bushcraft’ skills. They will also take part in activities such as wildlife identification, moth ID, survival skills and a conservation task.
They will also receive a certificate upon completion as well as being able to take home anything they make as part of the course. It takes place every Tuesday night from 22nd April to 20th May, 5pm to 7pm.
