Local MP Mark Lancaster dropped into Olney Middle School this morning to surprise one of their unsuspecting pupils.
With her Mum and Dad hiding in the wings, Emily West was shocked to learn that she had been chosen as the winner of Mark’s annual Christmas card design competition.
All schools in Milton Keynes North were asked to design a Christmas card that Mark would have printed and then send onto his colleagues, including the Prime Minister and the Queen.
The winning design, independently chosen by a panel of judges, depicts Big Ben in the form of a jigsaw. Mark commented, “I’m always impressed by the standard and level of creativity in the designs and I congratulate Emily on her imaginative entry.”
