Number of shoppers who visited Centre MK in 2018 revealed in new footfall figures

Over 25 million shoppers visited The Centre MK in 2018 according to the latest footfall figures.

That's up from around 24 million visitors in 2017.

The centre was also visited by 3.5 million people over Christmas and around 100,000 on Boxing Day for the sales.

It comes despite a general slowdown in retail over the last year, with more shoppers choosing to shop online instead.

Kevin Duffy, Centre Director at The Centre MK, told ITV News: "2018 has been a great success for centre:mk with shoppers continuing to flock to our centre. Our £50m investment programme including our award winning guest services and brand new 'smart' car park reflects our ongoing commitment to both our retailers and shoppers and we believe centre:mk will go from strength to strength as we move into the new year."
