People who are registered as a patient at Newport Pagnell Medical Centre are being urged to arrange their first coronavirus vaccination as soon as possible.
Eligible residents who are over 70 or are clinically extremely vulnerable are being urged to arrange their appointments as soon as they can.
This comes as Milton Keynes University Hospital have said their appointments are CURRENTLY booked for first doses.
The Medical Centre advises the following to those who do come to book their appointment.
- Please attend at the appointment time, if you arrive too early you may be sent away and asked to return at the appointed time
- Please DO NOT attend if you feel unwell - please re-book
- Wear a face covering and use hand sanitisers on entry and exit to and from the building
- Attend alone or with a carer if required
- Follow the one way system and maintain social distancing at times until in the room where the vaccine is given.
Dr Sarah Whiteman, the Medical Director and putative Chair of BLMK CCGs, said: “Delivery of the biggest ever NHS vaccination programme has been a huge undertaking so I am thrilled that we can now say we are administering vaccines to the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes footprint that we cover.
“GPs are working through their lists and making appointments according to the criteria provided by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.”
