The brand new drive-thru restaurants can be found in Woodlands business park, Linford Wood, off the H3 Monks Way.
The new McDonald's Drive-thru has officially opened to the public today (15/12). Creating around 150 jobs for the local community, the restaurant features the latest plans of the chains future experience. It serves the classic McDonald's favourites as well as the new McPlant burger.
McDonald’s franchisee Ken Tomkins started his career with McDonald’s 36 years ago and with the opening of the Linford Wood restaurant, Ken now owns and operates seven restaurants in the local area.
In addition to a number of initiatives to reduce packaging, McDonald’s heavily invest in daily cleaning the areas around their stores and are involved in number of local projects including the annual 24 hour litter pick around Milton Keynes. Find out more here.
Funds are also raised by McDonalds in Milton Keynes to support Ronald McDonald House in Oxford and other locations around the UK. Ronald McDonald House Charities is a charity which provides free home-from-home accommodation for families while their child is in hospital.
McDonald's isn't the only new drive-thru opening in the business park with Costa Coffee set to open their doors tomorrow (16/12). It is the first drive-thru of the chain's to open in Milton Keynes.
It will be the 14th Costa store to open in Milton Keynes, with Costa Express' also available in many supermarkets and corner shops. It will feature limited edition drinks alongside its classic menu.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We’re excited to welcome customers to our brand new Costa Coffee Drive-Thru store, which opened yesterday (Thursday 16 December 2021) in Linford Wood, Milton Keynes. This store is owned and operated by one of our franchise partners and is set to create 29 jobs for the local community. We hope that visitors love the look and feel of the store, and take some time out of their busy day to grab a drink of their choice while on-the-go or pop in to enjoy their favourite barista-crafted Costa coffee.”
