New vaccination pop-ups are being set up in Milton Keynes, as the COVID-19 vaccination programme moves into its next phase.
From Wednesday, 20 April COVID-19 jabs will be administered at:
- Netherfield Meeting Place, Farmborough, Netherfield, Milton Keynes, MK6 4HS.
- Conniburrow Community Centre, 37-39 Conniburrow Blvd, Milton Keynes, MK14 7DX.
These new locations are open to anyone over the age of 12. Those attending aged between 12 and 16 must be accompanied by somebody with parental authority.
All sessions are offered on a walk-in basis.
Geraint Davies, Senior Responsible Officer for NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group said:
“Vaccinations are still vitally important to ensure we keep COVID at bay. We have been looking at how we can best meet the needs of people who have not yet been vaccinated, as well as delivering the latest recommendations regarding vaccinations for all 5-11 year olds and Spring boosters for people at greatest risk from COVID-19.
“I am delighted that we are now able to offer more vaccination opportunities in Milton Keynes, whilst we finalise arrangements for a more permanent facility. Feedback from patients and community organisations also tells us that by offering vaccination pop ups at various locations will help us to meet the different needs of all our different communities as effectively as possible and ensure that vaccinations continue to be easy and convenient to access for people across Milton Keynes.
“To make the process as seamless as possible, people can book a Vaxi cab free of charge to get them to the Centre, free of charge.”

Children aged 5 and above can now also receive their COVID-19 vaccinations.
Parents and carers of children in England can now book a low-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or walk in at venues in Milton Keynes over Easter.
Appointments can also be made for children aged 5-11 in England using the NHS website or calling 119.
The jabs for children are reportedly a third of their normal strength.
Walk in appointments are available at The Saplings Childrens Centre, between 08.30 – 16.30 on Monday 11th April and Wednesday 13th April.
They're also available at The Rowans Family Centre, between 08.30 – 16.30 on Tuesday 12th April and Thursday 14th April.
