National Team no longer 'just a dream' for young Milton Keynes Cheerleaders

Five young athletes from Milton Keynes have earned spots on the national cheerleading teams representing their age groups.

Milton Keynes Cheerleading Academy (MKCA) is celebrating the achievement of five of their young athletes making national teams.

Kadi-Mai age 13, alongside Tillie and Emma, both 14 years old, have secured coveted positions on Team England Youth. Meanwhile, Sophie and Amelie, both aged 16, have both secured spots on Team England AA.

MKCA Director Miki Garratt couldn't be prouder of these athletes' accomplishments. She expressed her admiration, stating: "I'm so proud of the work the athletes have put in to get to this point. What an honor to be considered the best amongst your peers and represent your country in a sport you love.

"The standard was exceptionally high with over 350 athletes trying out for spots on the national teams, only the best of the best made it through. I can't wait to see them hit the floor in April 2024 at the ICU World Championships."

This remarkable feat not only highlights the talent and dedication of the young cheerleaders but also shines a bright spotlight on the achievements of Milton Keynes Cheerleading Academy as a whole.

As the athletes prepare to take on the world's best, the community eagerly anticipates the incredible display of skill and spirit they will bring to the ICU World Championships in 2024, which will be viewable on the Olympic channel.
