MyMiltonKeynes taps into the generosity of local residents for Action4Youth

MyMiltonKeynes has installed a new Tap to Donate machine outside its offices in Midsummer Place as part of the its ongoing partnership with Action4Youth.

The Tap to Donate machine provides visitors, residents, and passers-by with a simple way to contribute £3 to the charity, which aims to changes lives and create better chances for young people.

As part of its Safe City theme and commitment to supporting young people across the city, MyMiltonKeynes last year pledged to fund Action4Youth projects including the Breakout Programme, which offers an intensive and unique intervention experience for those particularly vulnerable or at risk of involvement in gang or knife crime.

This is the 10th Tap to Donate machine to be installed by MyMiltonKeynes, since the initiative first launched in 2019, and the first to raise funds for Action4Youth. The other nine devices, which can be found in locations across the city, including the train station, Leonardos Hotel and at Xscape, have raised in excess of £20,000 for the Milton Keynes Homelessness Partnership (MKHP).

Jill Farnsworth, CEO of MyMiltonKeynes said: “We are delighted to add another Tap to Donate machine to the city. The money raised so far demonstrates people’s kindness, and their commitment to support those in need. The devices offer a simple way of donating funds and we hope that this new installation at our offices, will go a long way in raising money for this fantastic charity”.
