Police were called to the M40 this morning after a motorist was spotted driving the wrong way down the motorway.
An elderly motorist was spotted driving down the off slip at M40 Handycross.
The driver was reportedly seen in Lane 2 before pulling over onto the hard shoulder.
Police from the Thames Valley South Bucks base at Amersham attended the incident where the motorist failed an eyesight test.
The driver surrendered his licence and the vehicle was recovered.
