Morrisons to BAN shoppers in Milton Keynes who don't wear a face mask

Morrisons will deny entry to customers in Milton Keynes who don't wear a face mask from today, unless they are exempt.

The supermarket chain is putting in new stricter rules and say anyone who does not wear a covering and has no medical exemption will not be allowed to enter the store.

Morrisons Chief Executive David Potts said: “Those who are offered a face covering and decline to wear one won’t be allowed to shop at Morrisons unless they are medically exempt."

"Our store colleagues are working hard to feed you and your family, please be kind.”

Anyone who does not have a face covering when they visit will be offered one by store staff at the entrance.

It comes as the government have been looking at tightening the compliance with rules at supermarkets across the UK.

The government Vaccine Minister Nadhim Zahawi told Sky News this morning: "Ultimately the most important thing to do now is to make sure that actually enforcement, and of course the compliance with the rules, when people are going into supermarkets are being adhered to."

"We need to make sure people actually wear masks and follow the one-way system."
