The experience
When I was invited along to review the Christmas menu at Brasserie Blanc I was really excited as at my previous visit the food was amazing. For starters I chose the Devon Crab which was presented beautifully and the winter coleslaw was a taste sensation. My friend ordered the Terrine Grand-Mere which luckily she shared as this was my favourite dish! The accompanying apple and prune chutney was delicious. For my main I chose the Woodland-raised bronze turkey which came with my favourite brussel sprouts, this was a really hearty meal and looking around the room I could see lots of other tables tucking into this dish too. My friend ordered the Duck leg confit with madeira sauce, she said the dauphinoise potato was insane! The restaurant is dressed for Christmas and looking beautiful with it's twinkling lights and the open kitchen always makes it feel like a really special experience. To end our meal we had the Dark Chocolate Marquise, which was paired with the most amazing whisky cream and the Bramley Apple & Blackcurrant Crumble, the pieces of fruit in this were yummy and so tasty. If you are looking for a somewhere that feels really exclusive in the heart of Central Milton Keynes that serves delicious home cooked food at really reasonable prices then Brasserie Blanc is the place for you this Christmas.
