
Local charity, Harry’s Rainbow, will receive over £9500 from the MK Marathon Weekend this year.
Over 80 runners took to the MK streets during the bank holiday weekend in aid of Harry’s Rainbow. Running in the 5K Rocket Race, The Superhero Fun Run, The Marathon Relay, The MK Half Marathon and the full MK Marathon; the brave volunteers’ total could yet reach £10,000 after sponsor money has all been collected.
Harrysrainbow.co.uk said “The runners were all amazing, as were the supporters who gave us all so much support with their cheering & applauding! It really is a team effort and between our fab volunteers, the supporters out of the course and our runners, it really was a recipe for long lasting memories.”
Harry’s Rainbow aim to provide access to support and advice for children, young people and their families who have been bereaved through the loss of a significant loved one such as a parent or sibling.
