After careful consideration and in response to the growing escalation of COVID-19, the MK Job Show Organisers have made the decision to postpone the October 2020 event.
Event Director, Mike Bickerdike commented “While we know this is disappointing, we hope you understand this is a necessary step to keep Milton Keynes safe. With the government restrictions on social gatherings to stop the spread of COVID-19, we feel it wouldn’t be responsible to host the MK Job Show at this time.”
The MK Job Show are thrilled to announce they will be back and bigger than ever on Friday 16th & Saturday 17th April 2021 at centre:mk, Milton Keynes.
Despite being unable to host a live event this year, the MK Job Show continues to support the region and have launched an online jobs board exclusively showcasing employment and training opportunities in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area – MKJobs.co.uk.
Marketing Manager, Deanne Stevens commented “Sadly due to the pandemic, many people have found themselves in a position they never thought they would be in, which is why it is more important than ever for us to step up and help Milton Keynes get back to work. It is truly fantastic to see the number of candidates applying for vacancies and the new local opportunities businesses are posting every day.”
After MKJobs.co.uk official launch at the start of September they have received heaps of positive feedback from businesses on the fantastic candidates that have signed up. NHBC reported “We have recently advertised a number of vacancies through the MK Jobs platform and have received a great response to the adverts that have been placed on this platform. The candidates were all of a high calibre and would highly recommend this platform to other employers looking to increase visibility of their vacancies.”
