MK Dons are delighted to have completed the signing of 27-year-old midfielder Joe Pritchard following the expiration of his contract with Accrington Stanley.
The central midfielder is Mike Williamson's sixth signing of the summer, subject to league and FA clearance, following Conor Lemonheigh-Evans, Luke Offord, Laurence Maguire, Tommy Leigh and Sam Sherring.
Pritchard joins MK Dons after five years with Accrington Stanley, in which he played 136 matches, scoring 22 goals and providing 25 assists.
An agile and exciting midfielder who moves the ball quickly, Pritchard is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur Academy and featured regularly in their U21s side before departing in 2018.
A season with Bolton Wanders followed before the midfielder began his five-year stint at the Crown Ground in 2019.
During that time Pritchard established himself as a first-team regular with the 'Owd Reds and now joins MK Dons as an experienced EFL midfielder.
On what MK Dons fans can expect from him, Pritchard said: "I wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm electric, I'm agile, I like to create chances, get forward, and just have an influence on the team."
On why he wanted to move to Stadium MK, Pritchard said: "It's an amazing place with great facilities. I've had the tour, and seen the analysis theatre! It's really exciting."
On Mike Williamson's style of play, Pritchard said: "I met Mike and Ian and spoke through a lot of their plans. They've got their philosophy, they've got their structure, and I can't wait to learn it! I'm excited for the opportunity to pick their brains."
On adding the midfielder to his squad, Mike Williamson said: "Joe is a fantastic addition to MK Dons. He's composed on the ball but also capable of producing that little bit of magic as a creative player that sparks an attack. I think our supporters will really enjoy watching him play.
