A brand new bowling alley is set to be built in the former Staples unit in Milton Keynes, meaning Milton Keynes is set to have three bowling alleys.

A new Tenpin bowling centre is set to be built in the former Staples unit on Grafton Gate, in central Milton Keynes, after planning permission was approved in January. (22/02614/FUL)
The company behind the new bowling alley, Tenpin, once operated the iconic Mega Bowl at the Leisure Plaza, near Milton Keynes Central Station which closed back in 2013. Since then, Milton Keynes has had one bowling alley, Hollywood Bowl at Xscape.
Plans for the new bowling alley in the former Staples unit include 16 full length bowling lanes, laser tag, pool tables, karaoke, an escape room and games area.
The news comes as plans were last week approved for a bowling alley to open in Milton Keynes shopping centre.
Milton Keynes City Council granted permission on Monday (20 March) for a new bowling alley with a bar and dining facility to be built on the lower floor of the Next Beauty & Home unit in Midsummer Place, Milton Keynes.
The application requested planning permission for the change of use of basement from retail to a bowling alley and leisure/recreation use with associated bar and dining facilities.

The unit is currently occupied by Next Beauty & Home but since the closure of Debenhams, the basement of the unit has remained empty with the new Next department store only taking up one of the three floors.
Following the approval of the two new bowling alleys, the city will soon have three bowling locations for residents to experience.
