Milton Keynes school children have raised thousands of pounds for MK Hospital Charity after another year of their ongoing fundraising efforts.

Milton Keynes Hospital Charity (MKHC) has thanked the children at Giles Brook School for their consistent fundraising efforts made in order to support the charity.

In a post on Facebook, MKHC said, “Every year, they show true entrepreneurial spirit to raise money for the Neonatal Unit at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust through their ‘Grow your £1’ challenge.”

The Grow Your £1 Challenge is a project where participants start with £1 and aim to raise funds for a chosen cause. Individuals or groups can take part, using their creativity and resourcefulness to come up with inventive ways to increase their initial amount.

MKHC added, “Starting with just £1, the pupils set up mini businesses – baking cakes, walking dogs, washing cars, and lots of other inventive activities to make their £1 grow and raise funds!”

Giles Brook School holds a Little Lives Marketplace Day and raised £2,235 for the Neonatal Unit this year.

“We couldn't be more thankful and proud of these inspiring children and everyone who has supported their fundraising for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity to date”, MKHC concluded.
