Milton Keynes residents reminded to take voter ID when going to vote

Milton Keynes residents are being reminded to take their voter ID to their local polling station for the general election today (July 4).

Repeated reminders are being made as today (July 4) is the first general election where voters must bring photo ID to the polling station.

There are twenty-two different types of ID that will be accepted when going to vote, you can find the full list here.

Out of date identification will be acceptable, as long as it still looks like you and the name is the same one used when registering to vote.

Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm on polling day.

They can get busy, particularly towards the end of the day. If there's a queue at your polling station, you'll still be able to vote as long as you joined the queue before 10pm.
