As mentioned by Ros on The Breakfast Show today, Milton Keynes has found itself on a list!
-
Milton Keynes ranks third, with a solid hotel rating of 8.29, but its lower concentration of romantic hotels, 2.5 per 10,000 residents, results in a lower total score.
-
Blackpool offers the most romantic hotels (12.8 per 10,000 residents) but has a lower hotel rating of 7.88 and a more affordable price of £84, which places it just behind Ipswich.
-
Ipswich ranks as the top romantic getaway city in the UK, with a high hotel rating of 8.02 and a strong balance of affordable options and quality accommodation.
-
Bournemouth round out the top 10 with 9 romantic hotels per 10,000 residents, offering a reasonable hotel price of £147 and an average rating of 7.77.
-
Woking ranks last on the list, with just 1.2 romantic hotels per 10,000 residents, an average hotel price of £121, a decent rating of 8.04, but a low total score, indicating it is not considered a top romantic getaway.
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, couples across the UK are on the hunt for the perfect romantic getaway. A new study has now revealed the most love-filled city destinations, ranking 50 locations based on hotel quality, affordability, and availability.
The study, conducted by FJewellery, analysed key factors such as the number of romantic hotels per 10,000 residents, average hotel rating, number of reviews, and price per night. The results might raise some eyebrows, as lesser-expected cities take the top spots over traditionally romantic destinations.
Taking the third spot, Milton Keynes boasts a high hotel rating of 8.29 and over 1,200 reviews per hotel. However, with just 2.5 romantic hotels per 10,000 residents, it falls behind on variety, resulting in a total score of 60.31. While not traditionally thought of as a romantic escape, its well-rated hotels indicate that couples visiting can still enjoy a quality stay.
