Milton Keynes MPs pay tribute to Her Majesty The Queen

    Milton Keynes MPs Ben Everitt and Iain Stewart have released statements following the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

    On Thursday, Buckingham Palace announced that Her Majesty The Queen had died peacefully at Balmoral.

    As the country mourns the loss of Queen Elizabeth II and Milton Keynes MPs have released statements.

    Ben Everitt, MP for Milton Keynes North wrote: "I am extremely saddened to learn Her Majesty The Queen has passed away.

    "The Queen dedicated her life to our nation and the Platinum Jubilee was a fitting tribute to celebrate her 70 years on the throne.

    "My thoughts are with the Royal Family at this extremely difficult time."

    Iain Stewart MP for Milton Keynes South said: "I am heartbroken by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second.

    "I thank her for her constant service to this country.

    "We owe her so much.

    "My condolences to the King and the Royal Family.

    "God Save the King."

    Both Houses of Parliament are sitting on Friday and Saturday to allow politicians to pay tribute to the Queen.
