Chris Curtis, Labour MP for Milton Keynes North, is teaming up with Willen Hospice to raise funds for the vital work this local charity does.
Chris will be running the London Marathon in aid of the local hospice, which he says has helped his own family, as well as many others across Milton Keynes.
One of the many vital services Willen Hospice provide is the Willen at Home (WAH) team. This dedicated group of Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses, Doctors, and Health Care Assistants has the expertise, compassion, and experience to care for those with life-limiting illnesses. The WAH team makes it possible for patients to stay in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by the people they love, while still receiving the specialized care they need.
Chris says that as well as championing the hospice in Parliament, he wants to take a more active role to raise funds for them. He said, “Willen Hospice holds a special place in my heart. They have been there for my family during some of our most difficult times, offering comfort, dignity, and support when we needed it most. I know their incredible care has touched the lives of countless families across our city.”
Ranjit Singh, Commercial Director at Willen Hospice said, “"We are proud to support Chris Curtis MP in his inspiring London Marathon challenge for Willen Hospice. His invaluable support for our Willen at Home appeal and ongoing efforts to secure fairer NHS funding, combined with his fundraising, are critical to ensuring our community-based service can continue providing essential care. We are honoured to cheer him on and encourage everyone to rally behind his efforts to sustain this vital service."
Chris concluded, “This Hospice isn’t just a service—it’s a community of local people helping local people. They create a calm, compassionate sanctuary, giving patients and their loved ones the chance to cherish every precious moment together. Please support them if you are able, and help me cross the finish line!”
