Ben Everitt MP is continuing to support a ‘world first’ Bill which will help improve the lives of people living with Down Syndrome.
Dr Liam Fox MP’s landmark Down Syndrome Bill has passed its Second Reading and Committee Stage in Parliament and has the full backing of local MP Ben.
The Bill aims to improve the provision and outcomes for all those living with Down Syndrome in England and will encompass, amongst other areas, maternity care, education, health & social care and employment.
Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, said: “This is a hugely important Bill which can help dramatically improve the lives of people living with Down Syndrome.
“I’m really proud to be supporting Dr Liam Fox who has done fantastic work on this issue, and the Bill will help us de-stigmatise Down Syndrome, improve services, and look at long-term care.”
