Milton Keynes man described as an ‘inspiration’ as he wins national award

    Milton Keynes resident, Paul Hunte, is celebrating after winning ‘The Inspirational Home Care Worker Award’ at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2024.

    The Stars of Social Care Awards shine a light on brilliance in social care and the businesses and individuals that play a key role in the sector. The Inspirational Home Care Worker Award recognises outstanding individuals who have helped people in the community stay living at home, the place they love best, by delivering exceptional care.

    Paul’s award recognises his dedication to clients in his role as a live-in carer at local home care company, Home Instead Milton Keynes.

    The glamorous awards night, hosted by This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, took place on the 14th of June at the London Marriott Hotel, Regents Park. Paul attended the event with some of his colleagues and was overjoyed to come away with an award!

    The team at Home Instead Milton Keynes put Paul forward due to his dedication to understanding and supporting each individual’s unique needs, ensuring clients receive the best possible care.

    Speaking highly of Paul, the judges said, “Paul is an exemplary candidate and is an ‘inspiration’ personified! Overcoming personal challenges like job loss and homelessness, he demonstrates resilience and a profound commitment to caregiving.”

    The judges continued saying, “Paul’s personalised, innovative approach to care, coupled with his mentorship and support for colleagues, transforms lives and inspires everyone around him. His dedication, compassion, and positive impact make him truly deserving of this award.”

    Commenting on his achievement, Paul Hunte said, “Receiving The Inspirational Home Care Award is truly an honour! Going up against other outstanding care professionals in the final was a huge compliment – well done to all those who made it to the final!”
