A local man was driving down Little Linford Lane when his path was suddenly blocked by an improperly disposed of conifer.
After the man’s journey was interrupted by a tree left in the middle of the road, he took to social media to warn others in the area of the risk.
Another driver condemned the reckless behaviour of whoever was responsible, she said: “Somebody locally who has had their conifers cut down should know who’s a likely culprit!
“But to dump it in the middle of a well-used road shows a total disregard for public safety. Shame on them.”
Many residents were confused by the events, one person commented: “Why didn’t [they] take them home after you’d finished cutting them down?”
A local tree surgeon offered a stark warning to residents who may be considering getting their foliage trimmed, he said: “As the owner of a professional tree surgery business, many people still use these cowboys!!!
“DO NOT say yes to someone that comes knocking! DO NOT contact someone that put a flyer through your door who will do “lopping & topping” along with repairing your driveway!
“DO NOT accept their offer without checking their qualifications, feedback, insurances etc. DO NOT accept a verbal quote!
“They are a menace to society and pay zero tax, which is the money we pay to have that mess cleared up!”
