Departure follows 11th defeat in 16 league games.
MK Dons manager Scott Lindsey has left the football club. His departure was announced by the Dons shortly after the team slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to Colchester United at the weekend.
The club has issued a short statement.
“Milton Keynes Dons have parted company with Head Coach Scott Lindsey,” it says.
“Everyone at MK Dons would like to sincerely thank Scott for his efforts during his time in Milton Keynes and wish him every success in the future.
“The club will be making no further comment at this time and will update supporters in due course.”
