Milton Keynes Council propose new restrictions on various roads and verges

The proposals come as a result of concerns over road safety in estates caused by inconsiderate parking.

The 'no waiting at any time' restrictions, or double yellow lines, have been proposed to be introduced along roads and verges in Bancroft, Bancroft Park, Blue Bridge, Bradville, Oakridge Park and Stantonbury.

MK Council say the proposed waiting restrictions will help to alleviate obstruction at the crossing area and encourage a safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists.

In order for the council to introduce the waiting restrictions, it must first make a traffic regulation Order. This is a legal document which allows the Highways Authority to restrict the highway which is enforceable by law.

Residents are encouraged to formally comment on the proposals.

The closing date for this consultation is 20 February 2020.
