Milton Keynes Council leads city centre neighbourhood project

Milton Keynes Council led a day of community activities in Central Milton Keynes on Thursday 3rd February.

MK Council teams were joined by a number of local agencies on Silbury Boulevard, North Ninth and Tenth Streets in Central Milton Keynes, bringing together more than 30 professionals.

Thames Valley Police, Bucks Fire and Rescue, Connections and Mears were among the agencies that took part.

The Council and its partners were on-hand throughout the day on Thursday 3rd February offering face-to-face support, answering people’s questions and led a city centre neighbourhood litter pick involving local residents, which resulted in more than eight bags of rubbish.

Cllr Lauren Townsend, Cabinet Member for the Public Realm with responsibility for Community Safety said: “We were pleased be out alongside our local partners providing lots of practical help and advice for city centre residents.

"We want residents to feel safe and know that support is there for them.  I’d like to thank everybody involved.”
