Milton Keynes Council launches planning academy with applications now open for graduates

MK Council has launched its planning academy to help recruit and retain the best and brightest planners in the city.

Milton Keynes Council has announced the opening of its new graduate programme as part of the Planning Academy.

Available to graduates passionate about joining the planning profession, this graduate programme is a brand new opportunity for those looking to launch their career within planning.

Successful applicants will have the chance to work within the different areas of Planning and Placemaking, including Development Management, Policy, Enforcement, and Urban Design.

MK Council also says it is trialling the opportunity to work with other organisations to expand graduate's experience beyond Local Government.

Graduate planners will also be supported to undertake an RTPI accredited postgraduate degree followed by an End-point assessment (EPA) that leads to becoming a Chartered Town Planner with MRTPI status.
