Milton Keynes cheer teams journey to the USA

Milton Keynes is set to make history as Passion Crush Cheer's Under-16 International Level 1 team, has secured a Summit Bid to compete in a prestigious cheerleading competition in Orlando, Florida this May.

The athletes on Passion range in age from 11 to 16 years old, demonstrating remarkable dedication and skill at such a young age. This incredible achievement comes at the start of their second year performing in this division, exceeding all expectations and fulfilling a dream beyond their wildest imagination.

The Summit All Star Cheerleading Championship is the pinnacle event of the all-star cheerleading world. More than 1,000 teams compete every year at Walt Disney World's ESPN Wide World of Sports, making it one of the most prestigious and competitive events in the sport. The International Level 1 division is one of the most competitive in the world, with teams achieving scores in the high 90s out of 100, an exceptional feat that is rarely seen in other divisions.

Winning a bid to The Summit is extremely difficult, with only the top-performing teams earning a chance to compete. Passion secured their bid at the Jamfest Rise of the Regions competition on 16th February. However, with the competition taking place in just two months’ time, on the first weekend of May, the team now faces its next big challenge – fundraising to make this dream a reality at such short notice. The entry fee alone per athlete is approx $485, without flights and accommodation.

This achievement marks a historic first for Milton Keynes, as Passion could be the first-ever cheer team from the city to take the floor at The Summit, competing against the world’s top teams if we can raise the funds to get them there.

To make this journey possible, the team is launching a major fundraising campaign and is calling on the local community and businesses for support. From sponsorship opportunities to fundraising events, every contribution will help these talented young athletes represent Milton Keynes on the global stage.

Local businesses and individuals looking to support the team’s fundraising efforts can get in touch via email crushcheermk@gmail.com. Every donation, sponsorship, or offer of support will bring the team one step closer to competing at the pinnacle of their sport.
