Ultra marathon beckons as Jordan marks 10 years since diagnosis.
An MK cancer survivor is preparing for a tough endurance challenge so he can give something back to the researchers and studies that saved his life.
Jordan Eastbury, from Eagle Farm, will take on the gruelling 100km (62 mile) ‘London 2 Brighton Ultra Challenge 2025’ in May, to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
Ten years ago, dad of two Jordan was diagnosed with testicular cancer aged just 21. His journey through diagnosis and treatment was life-changing but, thanks to an early discovery, groundbreaking research and medical advancements, he survived to share his story.
Jordan’s father also battled testicular cancer, and he has seen first-hand the devastating impact of cancer on family members and friends.
“This challenge is deeply personal for me,” said Jordan. “Without the life-saving research and treatments funded by charities like Cancer Research UK, my story and so many others could have been very different. I want to do my part in ensuring more people have the chance to fight and survive.”
Now Jordan is calling on the local community to support his fundraising efforts through a JustGiving page.
“If you can, please donate. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Together, we can help fund the research that gives people a second chance at life.”
