The streaming service was quick to then defend us stating that our 'grid road system and numerous roundabouts means traffic is significantly freer flowing than older towns'...
Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive has just aired its fourth season. Starting back in 2019, the show takes fans behind the scenes with driver and team interviews, revealing the true story of the fast speed sport.
The latest series saw F1 commentator Will Buxton speaking to racer Yuki Tsunoda in an intimate interview.
The racer, who races for Scuderia AlphaTauri, Red Bulls sister team, was stationed near Red Bull in Milton Keynes, leading to an MK appearance in the Netflix show.
Fans, who were excited to see MK on the series, then heard the pair as they made comments about our new town.

The F1 commentator, Will Buxton, spoke of the racer saying: “He’s been living in Milton Keynes in the UK.
"As a kid moving thousands of miles away from home, it must be a culture shock. Not even people who live in Milton Keynes want to live in Milton Keynes.”
The racer then followed with: “Most boring place in the world, I’d say!”
Not all of MK's coverage in the show was bad, the show gave viewers a sneak peek view of our shopping centre, centre:mk and the drivers apartment in Central Milton Keynes.
However, just as fans have started to get over the statements, Netflix took to Twitter to remind us: "Statements made in Drive to Survive aren't necessarily the opinion of Netflix."... "It just so happens this one is."
The online streaming service was then quick to take back their statement, poking at our infrastructure saying: "(jk MK – you have a lovely bowl and your grid road system and numerous roundabouts means traffic is significantly freer flowing than older towns x)"
Residents have been taking to the social media platform to defend out town.

And we have 200 miles of ‘redways’ (cycle / footpaths completely separated from traffic.)

Oh.. and about 22 million trees. 🌳
I kinda love #MiltonKeynes tbh. ❣️
We have the first Peace Pagoda in the Western hemisphere and no-one in Milton Keynes is ever more than half a mile from a park.

One non-resident even defended us!
Personally, I'd love to live in Milton Keynes, I've always thought it was great there!

The driver spoke about practicing his skills on the roundabouts, so at least MK can help him with that.
