A local family-run company has created virtual sporting challenges encouraging people to get active in lockdown.
Big Cow Sports specialises in sporting events ranging from running to triathlons and duathlons.
They are well-known for their flagship event, the Milton Keynes Winter Half Marathon, which takes place every December.
And in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has since launched a range of virtual events for people of all sporting abilities.
The main challenge is the Ten 4 Ten challenge which sees people walk (or run) 10k every day, for 10 days.
Participants can choose to do any route they like each day from the 1st March to the 10th March, and upon completion will receive a bespoke medal.
A spokesperson for Big Cow Sports said: “Like most of you, we cannot wait to get back to some form of normality and start doing what we love most – hosting events! Unfortunately, our industry has been hit pretty hard by COVID-19 and so we have been trying really hard to keep everyone motivated virtually.
"We’ve created a whole host of virtual events for everyone to take part in and one we’re really excited about is the Ten 4 Ten challenge.”
Entries for the Ten 4 Ten challenge have already opened, and they close on 28th February. Find out more here.
There will be physical, non-virtual events coming up later on in the year which include half marathons, 10-milers, triathlons, and duathlons.
