A local archery club has lost all its outdoor equipment in a fire over the weekend.
Milton Keynes Archery Club has launched a crowdfunder after a fire saw all its outdoor equipment destroyed.
On Sunday 23rd July, at around 4pm, the club's outdoor range and equipment based at Great Linford Primary School was set alight.
The fire brigade was called around 4:20 and two appliances attended the scene.
The club has told MKFM the fire was a suspected arson attack.
Milton Keynes Archery Club is affiliated with Archery GB, the national governing body for target archery UK. The club is a not for profit community group, run entirely by volunteers, providing archery services for the Milton Keynes area including teaching beginners and running regular club sessions for experienced archers.
"The club has been entirely funded with our family savings as we wanted to share our love of the sport with the city we love. We are devastated at this loss, not just to us, but to the community as well," Paul Castleton, MKAC Secretary, told MKFM.
The club has now set up a crowdfunding page to get themselves back on track, with a target of £5,000.
The crowdfunder can be found here.
