The Met Office has recently annouced that the majority of southern England and Wales are due to experience a spell of disruptive winds from Monday afternoon (03/05) to Tuesday morning (04/05).
There will be widespread winds of 40-50mph across the country, with gusts of up to 60mph potentially occurring in coastal and mountainous regions.
During this period, the Met Office believes that delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are more than likely to occur due to weather conditions.
Temporary outdoor structures (such as pop up tents/gazebos in pub gardens) will need to be properly secured to minimise safety concerns and avoid damage.
Additionally, some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be adversely affected by spray and/or large waves from bodies of water.
People due to be travelling on these days are asked to take extra care due to the warning now in place - with select journeys likely taking longer than usually expected.
The government is still currently advising all people to stay at home and "minimise the number of journeys you make where possible."
