MKFM's monthly networking event, the Meet of MK, was held at Unity Place last night (27/06) for the first time and was hailed a great success.
The Meet of MK, sponsored by Facilities Management Solutions, allows guests to experience networking with likeminded businesses and organisations around the city in new locations. The event sees lots of new faces, as well as regular attendees on the last Thursday of every month as local businesses and charitable organisations connect in a relaxed environment.
Yesterday, guests gathered at one of the newest destinations in Milton Keynes, Unity Place. Attendees had the chance to meet other like-minded business people from across the city in a relaxed environment with drinks and freshly made pizza from the Urban Food Market in the heart of Unity Place.
The event saw a few guest speakers, who shared some information about the current things happening across MK. Kieran, from Milton Keynes College, opened up a discussion about the adult courses available at the college, shedding light on all the options for adults who want to get back into education.
Laura Johns, Events Manager at Unity Place, shared more details about the venue and all it has to offer, along with the amenities available.
Debbie Lewis, from Natwest, discussed the acceleration programme, where she gave some in depth information about the process of it. The programme supports and empowers UK entrepreneurs to scale their business to the next level. Entrepreneurs have the chance to have one-to-one coaching with experienced acceleration managers and access to a network of like-minded peers, supported by ecosystem managers, plus many more.
Joanne Ronan, Head of Sales and Advertising at MKFM said, “The turnout has been great, and the space here at Unity Place couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s always nice to see people networking and finding the right people to speak with.”
The next Meet of MK will be hosted at The Italian Sul Lago, on Thursday 25th July from 5pm - 7:30. This will be the Meet of MK Summer Party, so don’t miss out!
