
Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for burglary in Milton Keynes.
Michael Keenan, aged 34, of Nash Road, Great Horwood, Buckinghamshire, was sentenced to one year and three months’ imprisonment at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday (16/4).
Keenan pleaded guilty to a count each of burglary dwelling and theft from a shop at the same court on the same day.
At around 4.45pm on 17 February this year, Keenan entered a store in Watling Street, Milton Keynes and took a balaclava from the box, putting it on, before leaving the store without making a payment.
On the same day, at around 7.15pm, Keenan broke into a property of a man in his forties by smashing a side door and stole cash, jewellery and a bag.
He was arrested on 3 March and charged the following day.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Hazel Grant, said: “With the assistance of CCTV, we were able to identify Keenan quickly, leading to a swift arrest and charge.
“This outcome underscores our commitment to protecting communities and holding offenders accountable.”
