Lots to do in Milton Keynes parks this Easter

Upcoming Parks Trust activities to put a “spring” in your step!

The daffodils are out, we’ve been enjoying some early spring sunshine, and there are lots of events happening across the city’s green spaces to well and truly get you in the mood for spring.

The first Parks and Ride event is taking place on Sunday 30th March at Campbell Park. Part of the Mayor’s Cycling Festival 2025, this is a family-friendly activity which promises to be lots of fun! Best of all, it’s free with no booking required – just turn up with your bike and enjoy the ride.

Also happening in Campbell Park is a short, guided walk on Thursday 10th April, as part of The Parks Trust’s Inclusive Strolls series. Suitable for all ages and with accessible routes and facilities offered, this wonderful stroll highlights the hidden gems of the city’s green spaces.

Easter takes centre-stage across the city’s parks throughout April, with an Easter Trail at Willen Lake, Easter craft activities for the kids and open mornings at Howe Park Wood, as well as an eggs-tra special Easter holiday celebration for families at Whitehouse – with face-painting, themed craft activities and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny!

Keep the kids busy and help the environment by joining the Family Litter Pick at Teardrop Lakes on Thursday 17th April. Not only is it an opportunity to get some fresh air in the great outdoors, it’s a perfect way to meet other people as well as look after the local environment. A friendly member of the Parks Trust team will lead the litter pick, providing all the equipment needed and taking care of the collected litter for recycling and disposal.

Julie Dawes, Events and Community Engagement Manager at The Parks Trust, says "Spring is a fantastic time to venture out and explore. With so many activities available, we hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy the season's delights! 🌸"

There are plenty of other activities to get involved in throughout the spring season, from bat walks to litter picks, guided walks to cycling events. Be sure to check out https://www.theparkstrust.com/events for further information and booking requirements.
